My Life After Graduation

I taught at Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology and with the Lakehead Board of Education from 1976 to 1988.

In August of 1988, I packed my bags and took a three year teaching position with the Government of the Bahamas at Hawksbill High School, which would become Sir Jack Hayward Highschool, in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.

The three years turned into ten years and I developed a N.A.U.I. scuba diving credit course for the students of Sir Jack Hayward with the help of the UNEXSO Dive Shop.

While in Freeport, I attended Nova Southeastern University to further my qualifications.  I was successful in obtaining my Masters of Science in Computer Science Education with First Class Honors.

In 1998, I moved back to Canada, settling in Ottawa, were I am presently teaching at Glebe Collegiate and the teacher mentor for the Glebe Robotics Team.  We participate in the US FIRST, Greater Toronto Regional Robotics competition held each year in Mississauga, Ontario.

My Life In Freeport

After living for so many years in the frozen north, life in the Caribbean was something else.  No snow to shovel, no -40 degree Celsius temperatures, and all the sun, sand, and blue water you could want.

It was in this tropical paradise that I meet the love of my life,  Ms. Kate Faulkner, now Mrs. Kate Seniuk.  We both agree that it is becoming time once again to leave the frozen north and set off for warmer climates.

Kate also introduced me to the Great Canadian Moose Conspiracy.  No matter how many times we visited Canada, Kate never saw a moose.  She was convinced they were camels, manufactured in Moose Factory, to look like moose.  After seven years in Canada, Kate has finally seen a moose.

I was also exposed to many new and exciting foods.  Two of my favourites, Cracked Conch and Run Cake appear on our recipes page.
